Hi I’ve been offered two 36 mm watches. This watch will be in addition to my current watch which is shown in the pics for comparison. My watch is 31 mm size. My husband likes the blue face best. I’m a bit torn but think I’m veering blue as well. I wear white and yellow gold .My personal preference is: fluted bezel —> 36mm. smooth bezel —> 41mm. A 41mm DJ with a fluted bezel would just be a bit too flashy IMO and throw off the classic dress watch look, regardless of your wrist size. 36mm is the perfect, timeless size for that. But, I am also thinking that without the Jubilee and fluted bezel, it would be a great sportier watch with the new, larger baton markers and updated dial without the railway tracks. I actually sold my 39mm Explorer yesterday, it just was not working for me, and I missed the . Especially with the fluted bezel, you will never get a watch that looks so closely to a white gold watch. The Rolex steel, which is made in house (you probably know this already) is the closest you will ever get to white gold without getting the real thing.

I really like the fluted dial and the size is damn comfty but still I’m rather unsure about the 36mm. Sure this is the good old man’s size but I’m torn between it is amazing and maybe a little too small. What do you think? The new Day-Date in 36mm and 40mm are exclusively available with fluted or gem-set platinum bezels. No more smooth platinum bezels. Again, because the fluted bezel has existed for so long only in 18k-gold, it is a design that, in my mind at least, has become .

K+K+K+Replace the bezel on the palm dial DJ so you get smooth/oyster. Then get a silver dial DJ with fluted/jubilee. 36mm is the way to go for these watches. Proportions are way better than their 41mm counterparts

I think it really depends on your personal style. My wife has a tiny wrist and wear a 36mm dj. It looks more fashioned forward. Based on the photos, the 36mm looks quite conservative. If you want it to be low-key, I think it is fine. Which size (41 or 36) did you choose and why? + Could you please let me know wrist size? 36mm 6.75" wrist because the crown and bracelet look properly proportioned in 36mm and feel most comfortable and discreet on the wrist in 36mm. Just need to figure out sizing, and would be grateful for input re: 36mm vs. 31mm. Thanks! The blue fluted looks amazing, and the 36mm is literally perfect for my wrist size at 6.5 inches. Would you be going for the Jubilee / all fluted option? Bezel and dial.?

However, there are some differences. Rolex will still service 5-digit DJs without question, and most parts are still available to independent watchmakers with Rolex parts accounts. The same can't necessarily be said about 4-digit DJ movements. Hi I’ve been offered two 36 mm watches. This watch will be in addition to my current watch which is shown in the pics for comparison. I think it looks great. I'd personally want it as dressy as possible, fully fluted and jubileed, the full experience. Although 36mm looks on the small side on my 18cm/7.2in wrist, I'm willing to try it on and let its shiny beauty speak to me. .
